Endless Winter

Here on the southern shore of Georgian Bay, we suffer an endless series of grey & cold days that drag on infinitely. While in the UK people cavort on beaches under 28 degree temperatures, Patti & I still have our duvet on the bed, & awake to the sound of the furnace fighting an outside level only just above freezing. Day after day after. Yuck! The grass is still brown, & there are no leaves on the trees, although I’ve noticed a few sticky buds on the horse-chestnut outside.
