Well, summer’s over! Autumn is more than in the air; it’s on the ground as well, as evidenced in the lovely colours that are spreading over the lovely Meaford countryside.
And I’ve seen a bit of that lately, as I’ve discovered geocaching. What’s that? Geocaching is a new sport/activity, that uses GPS co-ordinates to find hidden treasure!
Once you’ve located the cache, as it’s called, you sign the little book that’s usually a part of the hide, & then record your thoughts as well as success (or lack of same) on the website geocaching.com.
So far I’ve found 6 sites, all about 2 miles or so from home, & most along the Bighead River which runs through Meaford.
